Sinkhole next to Buwaib –Al Ramahia road, is one of the many sinkholes within Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is located in the outskirt of Riyadh City. Sinkholes could be natural caused by the natural erosion, dissolution of karstic formations, fines migration or could be caused by manmade activities.

This sinkhole is situated approximately 50 km north of Riyadh city, 6 km southwest of Talaat al-Buwaib and about 50 km south of Al Ramahia. Buwaib – Al Ramahia road is passing at the distance of about 500 meters east of the sinkhole. A high voltage electricity line is passing about 1km North West of the sinkhole while an electricity line crossing the sinkhole too. With the present increase of sinkhole diameter, a water pipeline (damage) in sinkhole exposed which supply water to Al Buwaib water treatment plant.
